Check-In and Check-Out Times:

  • Check-in time is 3:00 PM, and check-out time is 11:00 AM.

  • Early check-ins/late check-outs can not be promised but we will always try to have the rooms ready as early as possible for incoming guests!

  • You are welcome to store luggage before or after check in.


Cancellation+Alternation Policy:

  • Cancellations made at least two weeks before the scheduled arrival date will be eligible for a refund of the deposit, with a deduction of a $35 cancellation fee per room.

  • Any alternations to your reservation anytime after booking will result in a $35 fee per alteration.

  • Cancellations within two weeks of the stay will result in the forfeiture of the entire deposit.

  • In the event of "no-shows," early departures, or any changes/cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled check-in, you will be charged in full for booking.

  • We appreciate your understanding these policies that protect us as a small and seasonal business. If you have any inquiries or need further clarification, feel free to contact us.


Payment Policy:

  • A 50% deposit is due at the time of booking.

  • The total balance, including all applicable taxes, will be charged on the day of your check-in.


No Smoking Policy:

  • Smoking, vaping, or the use of candles is not allowed indoors or on porches at The Darius. Smoking is only permitted outdoors at the rear of the property.


Amenities and Services:

  • Breakfast and Wine Hour services are available from May through Columbus Day. To inquire about the availability of these amenities after Columbus Day, please contact The Darius directly.

  • Breakfast (8-10 daily) is a full hot, vegetarian breakfast. Join us for "Wine Hour" every day between 5:30 PM and 6:30 PM, where you can enjoy a variety of wines paired with our beloved rosemary shortbread cookies.

  • Beach chairs and beach towels are provided for free.

  • Bike vouchers are available for $12/day. We can give you bike vouchers at the inn and bikes can be picked up @ Old Harbor Bike Shop.

  • All rooms are equipped with: TV, AC, private bathrooms.

  • All suites have a mini fridge.

  • Second floor rooms have a shared mini fridge in the hallway for communal use but no personal mini fridge in rooms.

  • FRESH FLOWERS IN ROOM: $38.

  • CHARCUTERIE BOARD/CHEESE PLATE by Block Island Charcuterie: $65-135

  • LAUNDRY SERVICES: $15/load.


Pet Policy:

  • Block Island embraces a dog-friendly atmosphere, and we're delighted to offer accommodations suitable for your furry friends. Dogs are welcome exclusively in our first-floor accommodations, including suites 1, 2, 3, 4, and room 5.

  • To ensure a pleasant experience for all guests, we kindly ask that you avoid leaving your dog unattended, providing a contact number in case of any disturbances.

  • Dogs are not permitted in shared spaces such as the kitchen/coffee area, and it's important to keep your dog leashed while on the property.

  • A $50 fee per dog per stay applies.

  • Please inform us in advance if you plan to bring a dog.

  • Please note that guests with dogs won't receive daily housekeeping, but we're happy to provide fresh towels or any necessary items to your door. For the safety of your dog and our staff, we won't enter the room while a dog is booked in it.


Wi-Fi Access:

  • We offer complimentary Wi-Fi access to guests, but the quality and speed of the connection can vary on Block Island. We recommend “unplugging” as much as possible while you are here!


Additional

Guests:

  • A few of our accommodations can accommodate an extra guest.

  • There is a $50 fee per night for each additional person.

  • For children under the age of 6, there is a $25 per night fee.

  • Please ask before booking if your room can accommodate a child or extra guest so that we can verify if your accommodation allows it.


  • If at all possible we recommend leaving you car on the mainland and using bikes or walking, especially during high season.

  • Please note if you are considering bringing a car over from the mainland: We have limited off street parking at the Inn. It is available for free and on a first come first serve basis. If our parking lot is full, we can suggest walking distance street parking. However, Block Island is experiencing increased car traffic every year and parking is not always available, especially in high season. Unfortunately, we can never guarantee parking for our guests. Taxis, bikes, and mopeds are all available on Block Island.

  • We will do our best to prioritize spots for any handicapped or senior guests who require a car.

  • SHOULDER SEASON: April, May, October, November. Stay five nights or more and receive 20% off your entire stay.

  • RETURN GUEST DISCOUNT: When rebooking, remind us that you have stayed with us before for 10% off your reservation.
